Rattaché à la commune d’Olette, le petit bourg médiéval figure au classement des « Plus beaux villages de France » et abrite un patrimoine important. Ainsi, l’église romane Saint-André (remaniée au XVIIIe s.) est classée Monument Historique, tout comme les ruines de son ancien château féodal (XIIIe s.).
Annexat al municipi d’Oleta, el petit burg medieval d’Èvol i Oleta figura al catàleg dels «pobles més bonics de França» i compta amb un patrimoni important. D’aquesta manera, l’església romànica de Sant Andreu (reformada al s. XVIII) està catalogada com a monument històric, igual que les ruïnes de l’antic castell feudal (s. XIII).
Linked to the village of Olette, the medieval hamlet of Evol is classified as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages’ in France. It can boast of such treasures as the Romanesque church of Saint Andrew, widely modified in the 18th century and officially classified as an Historical Monument – as indeed are the ruins of the ancient 13th century feudal castle.
